Genesis
PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Muzaffarpur is a registered society under the Society Registration Act of 1860, functioning as an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Established on October 31, 1986, the school initially operated classes I to V in a rented temporary building near Aghoria Bazar Chowk. It later relocated to its newly constructed premises, inaugurated on February 5, 1997, by Mrs. Lizzie Jacob, the then Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi. Subsequently, an additional building was constructed to accommodate the primary sections.
Located in Gannipur, Muzaffarpur, the school is approximately half a kilometer west of Aghoria Bazar. It enjoys excellent connectivity by rail and road, being about 5 kilometers south of Muzaffarpur Railway Station, 6 kilometers south of Imlichatti Government Bus Stand, 11 kilometers south of the Bariya Private Bus Stand, and around 10 kilometers south of Zero Mile Golambar. It is also just 5 kilometers north of Ramdayalu Over Bridge. Students can easily reach Kendriya Vidyalaya Muzaffarpur via auto-rickshaws from various local transport hubs.
The school operates in two shifts, providing education from Balvatika-I to Class XII. The first shift runs from 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM, while the second shift operates from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Kendriya Vidyalaya Muzaffarpur offers all three streams: Science and Commerce in the first shift and Science and Humanities in the second.
